The data contained in the following tables consist of Census 2001 data obtained
from the City of Ottawa

(http://www.ottawa.ca/city_services/statistics/index_en.shtml ) as well as 2004
birth data obtained from Ottawa Public Health. Definitions of the Census 2001
data can also be found at the above-mentioned link.

The socio-demographic indicators included in the following tables were selected
based on previous research that indicates that they have an effect on the
developmental outcomes of young children10,11,12.
