ABOUT SUCCESS BY 6 OTTAWA

Ottawa Network for Children (ONC) (formerly Community Advisory Action Group)

The ONC consists of representatives of community networks and organizations involved with children 0-6 and their families; representatives from the City of Ottawa, United Way/Centraide Ottawa, and the Ministry of Children and Youth Services.

Its role is to make recommendations and advise the Council on SB6 priorities, design and ensure the implementation of strategies to enhance existing services for children, and act as the planning table for the community. The ONC also acts as the advisory and planning group to other early years’ programs and strategies (e.g. provincial programs and strategies such as Healthy Babies/Healthy Children, Best Start, and federally funded projects such as Understanding the Early Years) and new initiatives as they emerge.
